Shakespeare in Action is a non-profit educational theatre company dedicated to bringing new life to the plays of the bard.
Through main stage performances, in-school plays and workshops, as well as a series of workshops for teachers at York University, Artistic Director Michael Kelly has been brought Shakespeare to thousands of students, families and their children.
For twenty years Shakespeare in Action has been bringing the Shakespeare Alive for young people in theatres, community centres and classrooms through our experiential approach and innovative programming. One of the highlights of our year is the Shakespeare for Kids Summer Arts Camp, where children meet new friends, learn to act, create sets, costumes, props and perform an abridged Shakespeare play for family and friends. |
