Description: |
Since 1957, The Oshawa Community Archives has been acquiring and preserving for the public records that trace Oshawa's rich history from it's earliest settlement. Our collection includes historical information on Oshawa, it's families, businesses, social organizations and many other areas of interest. In addition to providing researchers with historical information, our staff also provides lectures, presentations, conservation work and research assistance by appointment.
Tours are offered to the general public all year round by one of our trained Interpreters. Visitors are guided through Guy House where they will see the Lakefront Memories Exhibit and can make a purchase at the Sydenham Country Store. They will also visit Robinson House, which houses a number of different exhibits, including a General Store, School Room ca. 1910 and the Grandview Archaeology Exhibit; and Henry House which reflects a typical home of the mid-to-late nineteenth century. |
