Celebrate and Create! Unique Birthday Party Workshops for Children
Treat the birthday boy or girl and guests to the amazing world of the visual and performing arts with a Specialty Birthday Party at the Living Arts Centre. A studio experience will be a unique and creative party for any age group. Painting/Mixed Media, Ceramics, Dance/Drama, Textile and Jewellery Making.
Camps
Camp programs are designed to provide fun, encouraging, creative and safe experiences for children ages 6 to 16! Join us for one-of-a-kind art experiences!
All About Art!
This fun-filled art program for young artists introduces them to the amazing possibilities of painting, drawing, sculpting, and much more. New themes for 2008: Wild Things!, an art-filled adventure filled with lions and tigers and bears – oh my!; Shake, Rattle and Roll, where campers will be inspired by music from around the world; Time Travellers, a creative ride in our time machine to visit the past and imagine the future! Art projects will be interspersed with stories, games and lots more fun to keep our young artists’ imaginations busy!
Photomania AGES 8 – 10
Discover the amazing world of photography with new projects every year!
This dynamic program is a unique opportunity for children to explore a variety of photo techniques and materials in the Centre's professional photography studio. (Basic 35mm non-disposable, non-digital camera required). Combine with Clay Crazy or Art Adventures for an amazing two-week camp experience!
Clay Crazy
This very popular program provides campers a chance to explore a variety of projects and techniques in the Centre’s Ceramics Studio. Children will learn hand building techniques and will also have a chance to try their hand on the wheel. NEW PROJECTS EVERY YEAR! Clay pieces will be kiln fired, and will be ready for pick up within two to three weeks of the end of the program. Combine with Photomania or Art Adventures for an amazing two-week camp experience!

Courses for Family, Kids and Youths
Ages 2 - 5 Courses
Introduce your young child to the magic of artmaking, and share creative time together while engaging in a variety of developmentally appropriate and fun activities.
Ages 6 - 9 Courses
Introduce your little ones to the worlds of sculpting clay, painting and drawing and dramatic arts! They will explore new and exciting age appropriate art methods taught by artist-educators.
Ages 10 - 12 Courses
Your kids will delve into the arts! Courses are offered in drama, clay, cartooning, painting, drawing and more. Your children will enjoy their interactive and fun experience and you will love the encouraging, safe and welcoming environment our programs offer.
Youth Courses - Ages 13 - 17
More intensive acting, pottery, painting and mixed media programs are offered for this age group.
Youth Courses 16 +
Further develop your skills in the arts of sewing, knitting, black and white photography, and glass.
