Our band/orchestra music faculty is made up of performing artists and teachers, many of whom play in major Canadian Orchestras or teach on University music faculties and in leading High School music programs. Each evening the Faculty present a concert in our theatre featuring various ensemble combinations from solo performance to full string orchestra or wind ensembles. During the High School and Jazz Camp, there are separate Jazz and Band/Orchestra Faculty Concerts except for 2 combined evenings devoted to Jazz or all Band/Orchestra programs. These concert hall quality performances are an important source of inspiration and motivation for aspiring young musicians. The goal of N.M.C is to encourage serious musicians and at the same time develop future audiences who have both an understanding and love of music. |
