ART ATTACK ( age 3 - 5 )
Enjoy a rich variety of diverse and stimulating art activities that are challenging, fun and appropriate to the students’ age ability. Activities include working with clay, plaster, paper, fabric, pastels and more.
PARENT AND TOT CREATIVE MOVEMENT
This class involves parents and caregivers who enjoy dancing with their child! It incorporates singing along with movement as well as using creative imagery, children’s nursery rhymes and stories, to encourage the use of imagination and expression through dance and music.
CREATIVE MOVEMENT
A progression from Parent and Tot, this class introduces children to dance in the class on their own with their classmates. Also involving singing along with movement as well as using creative imagery, children’s nursery rhymes and stories, to encourage the use of imagination and expression through dance and music. An introduction to Mooredale’s after school ballet program.
PHOTOGRAPHY
This new and exciting photography program will teach your child about the world of digital photography. Children will participate in a variety of exercises that will teach them about taking digital pictures. They will explore framing, lighting and learn about the endless possibilities of using digital. The program will not only help your child to take better photographs but allow them to express their individuality and creativity.
L’IL MUSICAL IMAGINATIONS NEW BEGINNINGS
A stimulating musical enlightenment for the very young explorers. Children will delight in signing, chanting, finger and toe plays. This class uses small rhythm instruments.
L’IL MUSICAL IMAGINATIONS L’IL WONDERS
This is a magical time for children. They are full of wonder and their imaginations run wild. Children will explore body percussion and use melodic and percussion instruments. They will also learn pitch, dynamics, temp, rhythm and explore movement.
Learn to ski / snowboard
Learn to ski in the city! Mooredale is now offering ski and snowboard lessons in partnership with Earl Bales Ski & Snowboard Centre. The evening is lead by chaperones and a small school bus is provided for transportation. If you are interested in skiing or snowboarding with child, you are free to join us and pay for your lift pass at Earl Bales.
YOGA FOR KIDS
Expose your kids to a fun and interactive experience of yoga poses, songs and games which will allow them to stretch, strengthen and balance both their bodies and minds. Local yoga teacher Graydon (aka yoga mum) will make sure your nearest and dearest have fun but also learn about their bodies/ mind & spirit. Team work and partner poses create a healthy non competitive environment which will help kids relax, release and re-energize.
