Roland and Romaine established their partnership in 1960 and are now teaching a second and third generation of dancers. Our objectives have remained the same throughout the years: making dancing fun, making dancing a positive experience for all students, using dance as a tool for growth and self-discovery, using dance as a creative outlet, providing students with a sense of satisfaction and pride, and helping students discover the pure joy of dance!
Our commitment to the welfare and education of children and young adults extends far beyond the walls of our studio. Not only are we aware of the need to develop physical and artistic talent in order to help children balance the work and responsibility they face in their scholastic life, we also recognize the need for children to share their time, energy, and talent with the less fortunate.
Our program is based on a syllabus that was created exclusively for and by Roland and Romaine, as an introduction to jazz dancing. Although the program is taught through a fun, imaginative, and playful approach, there is a structured curriculum. Teachers and assistants work to compose choreography that includes group coordination, order, and patterns to achieve a strong and cohesive visual performance. |
