Ritmik offers workshops that combine Group Drumming with other artistic modalities such as painting, movement, singing, writing and story telling.
This workshop will allow participants the opportunity to express, explore and expand their innate rhythms through group drumming and process painting. Participants will be provided with a safe, supportive and non-judgmental outlet for creative expression. This Drumming and Painting workshop is rooted in community, self-expression, spontaneity and FUN. Emphasis is placed on the process of music and art-making rather than on a final product and no previous drumming or painting experience is required to participate.
There is rhythm to everything we do, in every breath we take. There is rhythm to every brushstroke when painting, a beat to each step when dancing, and a flow to each word that is written on paper. Rhythm is as simple as the heart beat that everyone has and when expressed through the drum, speaks a universal language that grounds, heals, energizes and empowers in an experience rooted in community, self-expression, and play!" |
