Century Montessori provides a Toddler Programme that nurtures the development of the whole child. The child’s individual physical, emotional, social and intellectual development is guided by the Montessori philosophy that each child learns based on an innate and natural desire to learn. The Montessori classroom environment is designed to address the needs of the critical periods in the child’s development. It provides space for exploration and movement. The child has the freedom, with the teacher’s guidance and supervision, to select activities that are of particular interest.
The physical space is scaled to the child’s size and facilitates easy movement in the classroom, ensuring safety. The Montessori Method of Education ensures that your child’s developmental needs are met in all areas. Manipulative exercises, with the use of concrete Montessori materials, give your child the opportunity to learn through experience. The child’s innate need to touch, to see, to hear, to smell and to explore is meet with a wide variety of Montessori classroom apparatus.
Classroom interaction with peers will help the child to develop social skills through play, singing, sharing, music and movement and observation of others. In all areas of the Montessori curriculum, your child will be guided to learn and achieve in an environment that is supportive, nurturing creativity, personal achievement and independence.
