Lambton United Church Centre was founded in 1961 when Lambton Presbytery of the United Church of Canada purchased the former Johnson Bros. Fruit Farm with the intent of establishing a camp "to promote Christian Education and fellowship utilizing the natural features of the property to portray the creative hand of God."
Since that time Lambton Centre has grown to include a summer camp, a year round retreat centre, and a 108 site family campground. Lambton Centre employs 3 full time staff; an Administrative Director, an Office Manager and a Site Manager and 30 seasonal staff in the summer. It is governed by a Board of Directors, and is under the oversight of Lambton Presbytery of the United Church of Canada. Lambton Centre is a registered not-for-profit organization.
