The Taylor Statten Camps, in assocation with Alive Outdoors, offers a unique balance of team-building, experiential educational learning and wilderness awareness for school groups at our Camp Ahmek site in September. Activities include high ropes, climbing wall, trust and team-building initiatives, canoeing, paddle-making, survival skills, orienteering and canoe tripping. Typical group sizes are of at least 100 students, participating in 2 to 5 day programs.
Wapomeo is Ahmek's sister camp. Located a kilometre apart, the two camps share facilities such as the high ropes course, stables, tennis courts and playing field.
Ahmek is the camp of choice for parents interested in building their child’s levels of self-confidence, independence, and security with the natural environment. Parents of Ahmek campers trust in the camp’s ability to promote a wholesome, safe, and authentic Canadian experience.
Campers choose Ahmek, not just for the extraordinary fun found every day, but also because it is the only place that offers the TSC Canoe Tripping Program - a program designed to forge lifelong friendships and memories unlike any other.
Ahmek and Wapomeo also get together for weekly intercamps and dances as well as a variety of special events throughout the summer. These events include, sailing races, a mock hunt, the Gymkhana riding event, the final play, coffeehouses, and more!
The unique brother-sister relationship fosters a great environment for siblings and other family members, who get together each Sunday for lunch. |
