Each member of our children-friendly staff is highly qualified, attained a university/ARCT diploma, and has more than ten years of teaching experience.
The Bartok Conservatory of Music was named after Bela Bartok, one of the most original and influential Hungarian composers and virtuoso pianists of the 20th century. His musical interests were expressed in his early years. He had his first public performance as a pianist and composer at the age of 11.
Marianne Gast Mus.Bac.MBA, the director and founder of the school, was born in Hungary, studied with E.Bacsak, a former student of Bela Bartok, in Budapest. She finished her studies in piano performance at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music. Presently she is also an active member of the following classical chamber-music groups: Ensemble Amabile, Bellamusica, All'Amore and DuoConBrio.
