Description: Kilcoo was founded by Charles F. Plewman, thousands of boys and young men from Canada and around the world have shared a certain magic on the shores of Gull Lake in the Highlands of Haliburton. Kilcoo helps to build self confidence, social responsibility and appreciation of others, but the magic really takes place when the sum of all the experiences and friendships come together to create a most special time and feeling in our campers' lives. So please, browse through our web site, and hopefully you will catch a glimpse of what the magic of Kilcoo Camp is all about. The entire camp gathers outside the lodge and listens to the national anthem of the morning as the flags are raised. Then we all parade into breakfast as we get ready for what our cook Chef Chris has prepared. After filling our bellies, we listen to our daily chapel after breakfast and then head back to the cabin to try and win cabin clean-up for the day. Kilcoo Camp offers a variety of land activites for all skill levels.Kilcoo Camp offers a variety of water activites for all skill levels. All campers can take part in overnight canoe trips and hikes. These trips are planned and directed by experienced and qualified Counselors and trippers. For the older campers in the Voyageur section, special canoeing and hiking trips of longer duration are planned into more rugged areas of Ontario , Quebec , the Adirondacks , and Northern Canada .
